Tampa Electric currently has the highest percentage of solar generating capacity of any investor-owned utility in Florida. Our solar projects produce 1,252 megawatts of electricity - enough to power more than 200,000 homes. By the end of 2026, about 17 percent of our energy will be generated by the sun, and we could provide enough solar energy to power about 260,000 homes.
